2013 All America Micromouse Competition is only 2 days away, I wasn’t really intend to fix my existing bug for my halfway done diagonal run at beginning. However, I just spent a day do have most of the problem solved and made a test run.
Firstly, I made a full blind test diagonal run at 0.5m/s average speed, and turned out the accuracy was way beyond my expectation. This actually motivated me to do further work on it.
blind slow diagonal test run
Today I was be able to add longitude correction mechanism to make use of the post to make correction for longitude direction when going straight. A speed profile was also added to straight away part of diagonal run. However, I still didn’t yet add the longitude correction and collision features for diagonal straight away. I will have it just the matter of time.
Here is another faster test run with acceleration on straight away. The turning speed is around 0.9-1m/s
I hope my mouse won’t crash that easily at competition 😀
