Micromouse Competition information: IEEE region 6 and CAMM

Spring quarter is always the season for regional micromouse competitions in United States for college students. Here is the information for incoming region 6 Micromouse Competitions host at each area. Region 6 is mostly the west part of USA include Hawaii and Alaska.

Southern Area, April 27 at CSULA in LA

Northwest Area, April 27 in Seattle

Central Area, May 4 at UC Davis

Southwest Area, May 11-12 at UCSD in San Diego

Notice that UCSD(University of California, San Diego) hosts another annual micromouse competition called Californica Micromouse Competition(CAMM), this will be the third year for them to hold this event. There will be entries from California and other states, even some oversea teams(Teams from Europe and China signed up already).

Since UCSD is hosting IEEE region 6 SouthWest Area Micromouse Competition this year as well, they decide to combine 2 events as one. Therefore, the data and location is same as what I mentioned above, which is May 11-12 at UCSD.

The practice session is available from 10AM, Saturday May 11th until 8AM, Sunday May 12th. The competition starts 1 hour after 8AM, which is 9AM on Sunday.

The event is free and feel free to register at least one week in advance.

I don’t know too much information about the competition for other region, seem there isn’t that much videos available for micromouse competitions from other region. I only saw competition videos for region 1 and region 2, and if you know something about location and time about the regional competition at your area other than region 6, feel free to inform me, I will post that later once I can find something.

  1. Hi, Brandon, the southern region claimed that emails had been sent out to all student branches however seemed only CSU Northridge saw the info and registered, that’s why the regional for southern area got cancelled this year. It is still good to participate All America Micromouse Competition hosted at UCLA on May 26th. Please forward the competition information to all you micromouse teams who are interested to compete 🙂

Did you make this web site yourself? Please reply back as I’m trying to create my
own blog and would love to know where you got this from or what the theme is
    named. Many thanks!
